Forum Thread: Headphone Volume Problems

The volume using headphones on my Nexus 7 is less than half of what I can get from my sister's iPad mini. I use "Beats by Dre" earphones which are pretty good so I don't the problem is with my Nexus.

Any ideas?

Unfortunately, the Nexus 7 is weak in this area.

I would recommend that you download and app like Volume +. This type of app can help you boost your audio output considerably.

Which, interestingly, brings me to my second point, if you max out the volume on your N7 by using a 3rd party app, you also run the chance of blowing your speakers.

So this is where I warn you to be careful.
