Forum Thread: Nexus 7 Won't Recharge!

Next time, I recommend you run like hell and grab a charger the next time your find your Nexus 7 below 15% on its charge.

However, to resuscitate your device from the dead I recommend the following...

1. Plug your dead Nexus into an outlet wall charger.
2. Immediately press the Volume Down and Power buttons at the same time.
3. Ideally, you should now see the bootloader menu. However, if not go ahead and repeat steps one and two until you get the timing right.
4. Through the bootloader menu, use the Volume Down button until you see the "Power Off Device" option.
5. Select this option to turn the device off.
6. After the device turns off, go ahead and unplug the charger and then plug it back into the tablet.
7. At this point, you should now see the battery meter with your device coming back to life.
