Is my screen defective or am I just seeing things? I see these vertical lines on my screen and am not sure if I have a faulty one or what? Whats up with those?

What you're seeing is the digitizer. It's what picks up your touches on the screen. Those lines you see are normal. What isn't normal is if portions of your screen are yellow or do not respond to touches. I you don't have either of these, your tablet is fine.
